Vitamins
Vitamins help us regulate our metabolism, assist the body in the formation of tissue and bones, and help convert fat and carbohydrates into energy. Vitamins cannot be assimilated by the body without ingesting food. The following is a brief description of the Vitamins found in Nutri-Rice and the benefits derived from each.
Vitamin A (Beta Carotene)
Vitamins A is necessary for growth and repair of body tissue and helps us maintain soft, disease-free skin. It protects mucous membranes in the mouth, nost, throat, and lungs and thus helps fight infections. It also helps ward off night blindness and deterioration of eyesight. It helps develop bones and teeth.
Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) Vitamin B1 helps the body ingest carbohydrates, and is essential for the normal functioning of the nervous system, the heart and muscles. Vitamin B1 stabilizes appetite.
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) Vitamin B2 helps the body in the formation of antibodies and red blood cells. It is necessary for the body to be able to metabolize carbohydrate, fat, and protein. Vitamin B2 maintains cell respiration, and helps vision, skin, nails, and hair.
Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
Vitamin B3 improves blood circulation and reduces cholesterol levels in the blood. It helps the body assimilate protein, sugar and fat, reduces blood pressure and helps maintain healthy skin. It also helps the digestive system.
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) Vitamin B5 helps the body release the energy stored in carbohydrates, fats and protein. It helps build cells and the development of the central nervous system. Vitamin B5 also helps us deal with stress, and build antibodies.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) Vitamin B6 is essentail in the synthesis of amino acids and helps the body metabolize fat and carbohydrates. It helps us form antibodies, balances sodium and phosphorous in the body, and helps remove excess fluids of premenstrual women. It too promotes healthy skin, and reduces leg cramps, muscle spasms, and stiffness.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) Vitamin C makes many contributions to good health. It helps maintain healthy teeth, gums, and bones. It helps us heal wounds and fractures. It prevents scurvy. Vitamin C helps the body resist inflections, helps it fight the common cold, strengthens blood vessels and helps us absorb iron. It prevents the conversion of nitrates into cancer-causing substances, and helps the body synthesize collagen, the substance the bonds tissue.
Vitamin D Vitamin D allows our bodies to absorb calcium and phosphorous, both required in the formation of bone and teeth. Vitamin D also helps the body maintain regular heart action and helps the central nervous system.
Vitamin E Vitamin E is major antioxidant that slows the aging of cells. It helps supply oxygen to blood and prevents and dissolves blood clots and calcium deposits in blood vessels. Vitamin E strengthens capillary walls and protects red blood cells from destructive poisons.
Folic Acid Folic Acid is necessary for DNA and RNA synthesis, a key to body cell growth and reproduction. It also is a key to red blood cell formation and helps in amino acid metabolism.
Biotin Biotin helps the body use protein, folic acid, Pantothenic Acid and Vitamin B12.
Choline Choline is a key to control of fat and cholesterol buildup. It helps retard fat build-up in the liver, helps regulate the kidneys, liver, and gallbladder. Choline is important in the transmission of signals through the nervous system, and improve memory.
Inositol Inositol helps the body break down fat, helps prevent thinning of hair, helps reduce blood cholesterol and is necessary for the formation of lecithin.
